* Mrs. Armer's Class *
January 2016: In our Interactive Student Notebook, we added a section on adjectives and adverbs. This once again proved helpful with completing ELA homework. Remember, this is meant to be used not just kept in your backpack!
This is my 20th year in the Soledad Unified School District, and my 8th year at Main Street Middle School teaching English Language Arts. Creative Writing and Expository Reading and Writing classes are designed to improve students language arts skills. Our focus is on working in groups, and making an interactive notebook full of helpful information so that together we can achieve more. I am really excited to continue working with the amazing students here at Main Street Middle School!

Enjoy, and keep reading!
November and December 2015: We have continued working on our Grammar Interactive Student Notebook, which assists students with their homework for ELA, by adding lessons on Poetry, Dead Words and Verbs, Pronouns, and Vivid Verbs. I mentioned before that it would be useful this year, and I was pleased when students told me about using it to help them complete their Language Arts assignments and study for their ELA tests! Success!! This is not meant to be kept in your backpack and not used, so keep using it! We will continue to add more lessons when we return from Winter Break that focus on writing, adjectives and adverbs. l want to continue to strengthen students' Language Arts skills while having fun at the same time! :)
October 22-30, 2015: We are working on a Grammar Interactive Student Notebook which is designed to assist students with completing their homework for ELA; not only is it useful this year, but it is something that will come in handy for years to come! We will add more lessons in the future that will continue to help students strengthen their Language Arts skills. We are learning and having fun at the same time! :)
